Solar Energy Integration for Sustainable Cities
This presentation will focus on applied research supporting the integration of solar energy in buildings and suburban environments. It will highlight three key areas: building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), with an emphasis on digitalisation, energy performance, and economic viability; solar-enabled community and industry decarbonisation, which empowers local users to generate their own energy and foster more sustainable, resilient, and decentralised energy systems; and urban-scale solar energy, focused on evaluating multiple scenarios to assess impacts on grid stability and economic benefits.
